We Are Kicking Off 2024 Celebrating The Success Of 2023!

Running a small business in 2023 has undoubtedly been a big task. The restaurant industry has been marked by economic uncertainties, shifting consumer behaviors, and the ever-evolving challenges posed by the global landscape we are in today. This has included rising inventory costs, tighter budgets for customers, and forcing many to unfortunately close their doors for good. Yet, through our collective perseverance and unique approach, we have not only been blessed enough to keep our doors open, but have also continued to strive and provide exceptional products/services for our valued customers. As the little cafe on the corner, our heart is big for the this city and those who walk through our doors! For us, having the opportunity to create beautiful food and provide exceptional service to all, is why we do what we do.

As we entered 2023, we were faced with a challenge of what the best way would be to provide the services we loved so much. Within our 900 square feet space, we housed retail items, served food, provided catering, and hosted workshops teaching others how to build beautiful charcuterie boards.

While these seemed like significant ways to serve our customers, it only proved to confuse many as to who and what The Grazing Table actually was. Because of this, we made the pivot early on to remove our retail and workshops from our space. This seemed very risky. Making big changes as a small business that will eliminate income is a scary thing to do. Why eliminate part of our business, you may ask? Because we felt if we niche down, it would streamline our ability and desire to serve quality food with exceptional service.

We want to share our incredible thanks to you, our loyal customers, because that pivot paid off. We are proud to share that The Grazing Table Kalamazoo will be finishing out 2023 strong, with its best year yet!

Over the course of the year, we have had the opportunity to build relationships with many individuals that have come through our doors. Whether it is you choosing us for your special birthday lunch, celebrating an anniversary, grabbing a bite to eat while you’re out shopping for your wedding the dress, etc..we love being that special place you come to enjoy with your family and friends.

As we head into this new year, those moments are what we look forward to most and we cannot wait to share them with you! As we anticipate those moments, we wanted to share what we have in store for you to experience in 2024.

In June of last year we parented with our friends at 468 Wine to provide you the opportunity to enjoy crisp whites, dry reds, slushes, wine flights, and of course bubbly in our space! We will be rolling out more ways to enjoy these delicious wines with our list of Wine Cocktails, crafted with the intent to enhance the flavors of their selection and provide you a unique cocktail to enjoy!

We will also be rolling out two new signature menus. The first is our Winter Menu, featuring customer favorites and new additions like our Italian Sandwich and our Radish and Citrus Salad. The menu will also include a whole new section featuring artisan pizza and flatbreads! The addition of these items we hope will give you more selection, provide more quality, and allow us to curate the perfect artisan pizza on the Kalamazoo Mall, just for you!

The second menu we will be adding is a weekend Brunch Menu, to be rolled out at the end of January. We will be featuring classics like Eggs Benedict and a list of delicious breakfast sandwiches, Mimosas, and a Seasonal Latte Flight.

We are beyond excited to release these new additions, and for you to have more to enjoy while dining here at The Grazing Table Kalamazoo.

So there you have it! Consider this your sneak peek into all that 2024 is kicking off with. You won’t want to miss out on these new offerings. So what are you waiting for? Will you be a part of making 2024 the next best year? We surely hope so!

See you in the new year,

Joey, Jenna, and our amazing GT Team
